Fire & Ice

Ok.  I have not posted consistently.  My bad.  You know the drill--- work & school--- blah blah blah..... I know. I am a broken record.  HOWEVER, I have a playlist I split into two, so as not to completely muddle your musical palette.  This one is more of the typical EDM, trappy, sort of mix. Tomorrow's (hopefully) is more trancy and electro...

So it is called Fire & Ice because of the Pokemon Go event.... You got me!!!!  :)    Anyway, I ran in this sweltering Denver heat to this (and tomorrow's playlist) and let me tell you, the weather was not the only thing that was fire!!!  Hooray! Enjoy!

Fondue Me!

Alright so tonight's playlist is a very special one.
1) Sam and I are celebrating Best Friend's Day belatedly.
2) We went to the Melting Pot because: (A) I love cheese and (B) We had never been.  IT WAS GLORIOUS.  We are delirious from soaking and dunking so many delectable meats and such---in decadent cheese and brothy substances.

Now that I've got you all revved up and in the mood--folks-- I've got a great playlist for you.  It's sweet and salty like my chocolate fondue tonight.  However, it is a quickie, but after so much fondue activity... do you really have it in ya for any more???

Post-Potter Depression

So I know a lot of you are sad the Harry Potter mini-series is over.  I am too.  BUT now we have a new one: The Pokemon Series!  Just kidding, I will calm down on my nerd game for a bit (Probably not).  I think I had some of you going there for a minute....

I know everyone is feeling a little bit down like when you finished reading the last book and/or after you watched the last movie.  So this playlist is very upbeat and will help you to cope and emerge from the Post-Potter depression you are inevitably suffering from.

Pondering Thoughts (in lieu of a poem):
1) I'm going to the magical Wizarding World of Harry Potter next weekend!!!  I mean WHAT?!?!?!
2) Only 4 more classes until I can officially put MBA on my resume.  STOKED!
3) I rode a mechanical bull last weekend at the barn party and am considering a new career path.
4) I am in a movie!  I play a flight attendant.  I can't wait to see it!  I comes out June 2nd.  Go watch the trailer:  CLICK HERE TO SEE THE MOVIE TRAILER!

Harry Potter and the Dope Harmonics

Last book, but definitely not my last Harry Potter-related post.  Sorry Muggles you're not off the hook just yet. Also should apologize for falling off the face of the earth.  I'd like to be sly and say it was dementors, but grad school and work is kicking my butt.  So I'll just jump right into the final poem of this mini-series.

Harry Potter and the Dope Harmonics

Voldemort's back but not for long.
The 3 wizards hunt for horcruxes, what could go wrong?
But wait, we need to get the elder wand and other hallows.
Then the battle of Hogwarts shortly follows.

Lot's of wizards casting spells in the fight.
Mrs. Weasley straight slaying-- what a sight.
They defeat Voldemort and the rest of his class.
Highlight of the book: Neville is a badass.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Playlist

First things first, I am nearly 2 thirds of the way through my MBA program.  I am quite excited.  To celebrate, here is a fun playlist and arguably, better entertainment in the form of a poem dedicated to my favorite wizard: HP!

Part 6 of the Harry Potter mini series.  Book 6.  Pretty dark book.  Very sad.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Playlist

Snape's finally teaching the Dark Arts.

Thanks Half-Blooded Prince, Harry's grades are off the charts.

Voldemort created a Horcrux or seven.

Harry makes some moves on Ginny. Oh Heaven!

Draco chokes and Snape has to kill our dear friend.

We'll miss you Dumble, see you around another bend.

Harry is hangry and pledges to go fight evil.

Later, Hogwarts. Time for the Horcrux retrieval.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Bass:

Underground society: the Order of Phoenix.

Sirius, Tonks, and Lupin. Dis is the remix.

Fighting those Death Eaters that have no souls.

Dumbledore's Army--- talk about SQUAD GOALS!

Harry was told: "I must not tell lies".

"Spare me Firenze", Umbridge cries.

Foreboding prophesy. We'll miss you Sirius.

On to book 6, it's bout to get delirious.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Flow

Part 4 of the H to the Pizzle mini-series. Acio iambic pentameter (JK too unruly to limit myself ten syllables/line).

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Flow

The Triwizard Tournament with Fleur, Cedric and Viktor.

Harry's name gets called. Shoulda made the rules stricter.

Everyone's throwin shade. Ol' Dumbledore's mad.

But Harry's no coward. On to the first task lad.

Time to crush this Hungarian Horntail. Acio broom.

Task two. Egg clue? Let's go to the bathroom.

Myrtle, you ghastly perve, thanks for the tip.

Neville says, "Better slip some gillyweed in that lip".

Final task is here, and its aMAZEing.

Down to Cedric and Harry with wands a blazing.

Oh no, we're in a cemetery with you know who.

Voldemort's back.  Sorry to drop the other shoe.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of EDM

SONORUS: This is part 3 of the H Pitty mini series.  May I introduce you to book numero three.  Ima just jump right into this in my own special way... poetry baby... let's go!

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of EDM

The Dursley's......Harry is mad. The summer is over soon.

Harry thinks to himself: : "Let's blow my aunt up like a balloon".

Shit, that was cray.  Time to flee. Knight Bus, save me.

Not out of hot water yet. Sirius Black is a convictee.

On his way back to Hogwarts dementors on him like a clingy ex girl.

Then Buckbeak scared Malfoy and he let out a shrill curl.

Fast forward, Sirius is innocent and Hermione has the Time Turner.

The bad ass trio saves Buckbeak and Sirius. Talk about fast learners.

PS: Harry's broom gets destroyed by a crazy tree.

But Sirius pimps him out with a Firebolt broom fo free.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Sound

So part two of the Harry Potter mini-series is on like Donkey Kong Wizarding Chess.  Many of you fellow Pott Heads might agree with me when I say: Book 2 was probs the most boring...  However, without book 2 we would not have had our lovely introduction to the sociopathic child turned dark wizard. The one and only Tom Riddle.  Dumb name if you ask me.  Not very scary are ya Voldy....

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Sound:

Oh Ginny, how you fell prey to an enchanted diary.

Why didn't you consult your friends? Not even one inquiry???

It only took a couple dozen petrified kids to sound the alarm.

Even smarty-pants Hermione was in lack of a charm.

What in the heck is stunning the young wizards and witches?

A slithery Basilisk saying, "snitches get stitches".

Fast forward to the end, HP saves the day assisted by Fawkes.

And lo and behold, Dobby is freed by way of socks!!!!

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Songs

Alright here goes a mini-series of Harry Potter inspired blog posts.  For you muggles: there will be 7 total...

Thoughts:
1) Evolved my Magikarp into a mighty Gyarados (best possible moveset).  Jacked out of my mind about it...
2) Still carry my H Piddy wand in my purse in case of a random dementor attack.
3) I would like to write a poem (shocking right?) about my one love: The Boy Who Lived

Ode to Harry

Marked so young with a stormy scar.

Ghost ridding the whip in the Wheasley's flying car.

The real gangsta wizard that breaks every rule.

Malfoy had no chance in that wizarding duel.

Spectrum Sepmra you layed that on so thick.

Had me spooked like Nearly Headless Nick.

Wingardium Leviosa. I'm feeling so fly.

Ima get off my magical soap box now. Mic Drop. Bye.
